Find out why your TIFF file has unsupported tags
The TIFF file format allows for applications to write private tags into the file to store information pertinent to that application. In order to compress a TIFF file our software needs to know the structure of the tags used so that it can copy them over to the compressed version of the file. Otherwise the tags would be lost.
There are a lot of possible tags to support and so we are aiming to be guided by the specific needs of our customers. If you have arrived here and you have TIFF files you’d like to compress, we’d love to see an example file and chat to you about adding support for it.
Please can you share an example file with us so that we can check and maybe add support for them?
